GENTRIFICATION

One of my good friends painted this.

He's one of few people that understands the bullshit about kicking out the people living in an area with high prices and replacing it with an appealing picture for the suburbanites that want to experience "culture" yet have no culture, so the result is a place with a pretty facade with nothing underneath. As the saying goes, It shouldn't need the makeup to look good.

Growing up and living in the suburbs i met many people that could not grasp the concept of something outside of themselves and though they could be in a different city, a different country for that matter, they were still surrounded by the same thing/type of people, so it's living in a box and just changing the scenery outside of it, now most major cities i go to, that box is encompassing the landscape.
