Blessed.
For those that know i went thru an incredibly hard time at the end of last year and im still dealing with it today, but if not for my friends and family i wouldnt have gotten out of that dark hole. Specifically my best friend Sue. And the positivity that i received from everyone. I was kept on being told to stay positive that things will always work out for you if you let go of the negativity.
Mistakes of the past are in the past, you cant change them, you can only grow and learn from them and you can only strive to be a better person. And Any negativity you're way, you brush it aside. Let go of fear and embrace everything and everyone.
I've been making moves since then, as guru say's POWER MOVES. And the more things happen the more i realize that i need more equipment to handle the workload. I was going to have to spend a good amount of money on a flash dryer that i really needed to have a job completed. I asked a favor of someone to use theirs but they could not. So.. blowdryer. and things came out okay.
On the weekend of the 13th, i found someone selling a flash unit for less then half the cost of the one that we had purchased that is no longer in the studio space. But no reply, so i thought oh well, gotta shell out major dollars now. 2 days ago, i get a reply. That i can go pick it up that night. I show up, and it's a unit almost twice the size of what we had before!! with a swivel base that we really really needed before as well.
As i'm leaving he looks at me and says, hey, do you want some stuff? and i of coarse say.. what stuff? so we walk into this mans garage and he hands over 5 20x24 screen printing frames. 2 squeeges, a 20 inch emulsion scoop and a gallon of high grade emulsion remover. .. and the flash dryer for 200 bucks. Everything. If anyone knows the cost of these things. then you'll know why im pretty amped. Not only do i have what ineeded to set up the studio again, but i have more supplies, more screens to do much much more. Im posting pictures of it all up. Im just excited about it all!
As im leaving i tell him how much i appreciate all this, he says, god bless you brother.
Moral of the story: Stay Positive, everything you need in life is already coming at you.
That night, enjoyed an incredible time with My friend Steff watching this lady
Alison Carney
As. we're leaving, i got introduced to people that i'll probably be in contact soon for some art shows and work. And A lady named stacy comes up to us and as steff is telling her the story of when she shut down her Record Shop says, you should read this. And here comes The Celestine Prophecy.
It really made me take a step back when she said that.
Stories of birds, walking in the rain. put a closing scene on one of the best days i've had in a very long time.
