So i spent an incredibly vicey time in south beach, for those that know there's absolutely nothing to do there but drink and drink on the beach. :)
Did manage to catch flickatures of some nice galleries and was blown away by a lot of the artwork being displayed, i somehow also managed to get connections and contacts to walls and other gallery spaces down there, but managed to not make incredibly bad first impressions ;P
It's always nice to escape.
I did get to go to a holocaust display and saw this sculpture that put life into perspective. Sometimes we take for granted what is right in front of us. There was singing in hebrew by children as you walk down a ramp into the middle of this sculpture and the images there along with the thousands upon thousands, upon millions of names scrawled on the wall is just mindblowing.
There was a joke made by dave chappelle about being taken to the ghetto without knowing you were getting taken to the ghetto, that's exactly what happened here.
We had the GPS going and as it was talking we noticed the scenery changing a bit. However we landed in the middle of art basel which is incredible to see in person.
