A Celebration of Artfisch: The art and work of Erica Hinson Denny.

I lost a close friend on November of this past year. We were all painting a few hours before and little did i know that her telling me, "come back and pick up your picture" would be the last thing she said to me. I was already on my way home and thought, i'll just pick it up later this week. Unfortunately i would'nt be able to have her hand it over to me.

She was in such a short time someone integral to who i was and my outlook on life, people always talk about certain individuals that are beyond amazing, this is who she was. There was never a dull moment with her, every second i spent with her i spent smiling and anticipating what came next. From the Moment i Met her to the Dreadful day i said goodbye she was the inspiration that kept me going and moving, i miss her supporting my art, i miss her random videos she sent to us all, i miss her energy that kept everyone smiling and enjoying the moment we were all caught in.

We all had a tribute show for her at Gallery 788 and the tears and the excitement flowed, just how she would have wanted, it was a celebration of her art and the atmosphere was everything she was. The show will run thru to the end of June and should be viewed by as many people as possible.

Her Gallery is still available to view on flickr here --------> Artfisch    and yes, it's pronounced art fish, her explanation after i asked her once... "it's like the school of fish, but spelled like school, ya know. fshhhhhhh" :)

I love you lots girl and miss you terribly.

Some of these photos are mine, some are from her wonderful husband Josh, a special thanks to phillip, George and Theresa.
